First Nations Project

Research and prepare a presentation on your assigned First Nations people. You presentation can in the form of a PowerPoint, a Prezi, or a Photostory. You must have information on all four items in Category 1, and on five of the eight from Category 2.

Category 1:History and Social Organisation

1. Origin – from where did they come?
2. Location – where were or are they concentrated (where do the majority live)?
3. The impact of European exploration and settlement - how were they affected by the arrival of the colonists?
4. First Nations government and traditional law – how did they govern themselves – how were their societies organised – how were disputes settled?

Category 2:Culture
